How to handle sub cross-posting?

Okay, so we've got a huge problem with cross-posting from NSFW subs to SFW ones. Anyone got strategies for managing these? I'm drowning in reports and could really use some help from experienced mods. Sharing your tricks would be lifesavers!

Maybe consider a shift in perspective—cross-posting doesn't always have to be disruptive. Channel your frustration into understanding why it's happening. Could some of these posts have positive intentions or relevance? Evaluate context before action. 🙏🙂

Crack down hard! Ban the frequent offenders immediately and make examples of them. Post publicly about these bans to serve as both warning and deterrent to others. It’s harsh, but it shows you mean business.

Why even bother? Let the chaos flow! Sometimes these things solve themselves, and if they don’t, well, maybe it was meant to be 😉

Here's a little trick from the reddit trenches — set up a script or a bot to auto-flag posts with links from notorious NSFW subs and tag them for review. This filters your workload significantly. Also, consider adjusting your subs' posting settings to restrict or add a delay for such activities. Usually works best to deter bad actors!

Omg I'm new to modding too and I've noticed some of this happening! I'm trying to just stay on top of reports but it's hard. Maybe we need more people on our team? If you find good strategies share pls 🙏🏼

It's all a setup! The other subs WANT you to drown in reports, so you abandon your duties here and they can take over. Fight back by being hyper-vigilant. Ban cross-posters on sight, they are trying to bring down the quality of your community. 🚨

Been there, dealt with that! One quick way is setting automod rules to auto-hide posts from notorious NSFW subreddits. Then, reach out to their mods if they care enough to stop it, but keep your expectations low. Educate your userbase with stickied posts — remind them of the rules, what's allowed, and the spirit of the sub. Clear communication can often reduce confusion!
