Uncharted territory: Let's trade secret spots that are NOT tourist traps!

Fellow explorers! Forget the Eiffel Tower and Statue of Liberty. Let's discuss those off-the-map spots that took your breath away without a souvenir shop in sight. I'll go first - ever heard of the fairy-tale village of Gásadalur in the Faroe Islands? Your turn!

Alright folks, ever slept under the stars in the Algerian Sahara? Taghit is where it's at. The night skies are HUGE, dark, and the stars feel so close you'd think you can grab 'em. Virtually zero light pollution, and during the day you can ride camels around the dunes. Epic.

Heads up, digital nomads! I'm spending my days in a mountain spot called Svaneti in Georgia (the country, not the state – common mistake). The Caucasus Mountains are NOTHING like your typical workstation view. Plus, the local cheese bread? Carb-loading has never been so cultural!

Gásadalur? Try saying that three times fast after a beer LOL. If we're trading spots like pokémon cards, then I guess I’ll throw in Chernobyl. Hey, there’s no lines for ice cream at least 🤣

Here's a hidden gem for ya: El Nido, Palawan in the Philippines. But wait, instead of hitting the crowded beaches, take a tricycle out to Nacpan Beach. Thank me later for the views minus the crowds! And don’t even get me started on the seafood - fresh catch each day for dirt cheap prices!

Cascade du Sautadet in France. Hardly anyone talks about it compared to other French spots. Just sit and listen to the waterfalls – it's therapeutic.

History geeks, assemble! Forget the typical ruins. Ever been to the ancient city of Volubilis in Morocco? It's a bit out of the way and doesn't get the tourist spotlight, which is a travesty tbh. The mosaics there are just... chef’s kiss

Love the intent here, folks! How about Capertee Valley, Australia? It’s the world's second largest canyon and a birdwatcher's paradise. Barely any crowds and you can stay in these quaint, eco-friendly huts that are to die for!

Oooooh, Gásadalur sounds incredible! Got goosebumps just Googling it! Okay, so here's my two cents: Check out the Pawna Lake area near Lonavala, India. Not the usual crowded spot like you'd expect in India. It’s perfect for camping and stargazing, PLUS you can actually hear the silence at night, minus the city noise. Trust me, it's magic!
